David Dreitlein, MD, FACEP is a board-certified Emergency Physician and a Colorado native with more than twenty years of service in rural Colorado.

He previously worked as Chief Medical Officer at Marillac Health and earlier as Chief of Emergency Services and Chief of Staff at Montrose Memorial Hospital, where he helped open a new emergency department, strengthen trauma care, and launch a hospital-based air medical program. He has been appointed by the State of Colorado to various roles focused on improving access to emergency care in rural areas, including work with the State Emergency and Trauma Advisory Council. He also served with CareFlight as medical director, board member and flight physician. His mountain medicine work includes time at a high-altitude clinic in Nepal’s Everest region, and he is currently a physician with the US Ski Team.

He looks forward to serving Cheyenne County and the surrounding region.
