Medical School: Beth-El College

Allison has been working in healthcare since she was 16. She started as a certified nurse's aid (CNA) at Weisbrod Memorial Hospital in Eads. That is how she knew she wanted to be a nurse and eventually a nurse practitioner.

Allison graduated from Eads High School in 2009 and went to UCCS in Colorado Springs.

She then graduated with honors from the Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences in 2013 with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Most of her career as a registered nurse was spent working in the emergency department but she also worked labor and delivery for a few years which helped her focus on women's health and the care of neonates. The combination of these two career ventures truly helped Allison gain experience by caring for patients throughout the lifespan.

After 5 years of working as a registered nurse Allison felt she had gained enough experience and that it was time to accomplish another career aspiration, becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). Her experience taking care of patients throughout the lifespan inspired Allison to become a FNP because this specialty would allow her to take care of ALL patient populations (pediatrics, women's health, acute and chronic conditions, men's health, geriatrics, etc.).

She started to pursue her Masters of Science in Nursing while still working part time as a registered nurse in the ER at Penrose St. Francis in Colorado Springs in 2017. She graduated with her Masters of Science in Nursing in May of 2020. She then became certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in September of 2020.

It has been a dream of Allison’s to return to Southeast Colorado since she started nursing school in 2009. Living in Colorado Springs for 11 years was an eye opening experience and it made her extremely appreciative of rural communities. There truly is nothing like the sense of family you get from living in a small town. Allison wanted to return to Southeast Colorado because she understands the importance of having access to exceptional and reliable healthcare because she was raised in this area. Allison recently married Logan Lowe (2008 Graduate of Cheyenne Wells High School) and together they have 2 pugs, Lola and Frank, and a rescue cat Lily. She is also a bonus mom to Logan's son Brayden. They enjoy attending sporting events, playing golf, and home renovation projects. Allison enjoys cooking, gardening, and true crime shows/books. Logan and Allison have made our home in Eads and are both happy to be closer to family.
