Genna Cochran
Genna Cochran began her healthcare career in 2012 as a certified nurse’s aide (CNA), where she developed a strong foundation in compassionate, hands-on patient care. Inspired by her mother, who is also a nurse, she decided to pursue a nursing degree in 2017.She earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Otero Junior College in 2020 and began working as a registered nurse at a critical access facility, gaining broad experience in a rural healthcare setting. While continuing to work as an RN, Genna completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2021 through Grand Canyon University. After earning her BSN, Genna became increasingly interested in primary care and preventive health, with a passion for educating and supporting patients in managing their health before conditions progressed to the need for emergency care. This led her to pursue advanced practice nursing. Genna graduated with her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences in 2025 and became board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners the same year.
Having grown up in the rural community of Limon, Colorado, Genna has always known she wanted to practice in a rural setting and serve communities like the one that shaped her. She is married to David Rudolph, and together they have two children. Outside of work, Genna enjoys spending time with her family. Together, they enjoy playing video games, board games, and role-playing games. Independent of family activities, Genna also enjoys reading, cooking, and collecting shiny rocks.
