Our ER provides excellent care when you need it.

The doctors and nurses within our level IV trauma center are experienced in rural healthcare and trauma.They are certified in multiple areas to provide the best quality care possible. Keefe Memorial Hospital is the only acute care facility in Cheyenne County serving approximately 1,800 people and covers 1,782 square miles. Trauma designation affords us the opportunity to treat, stabilize and transfer patients to tertiary facilities for additional evaluation and treatment. We continually update our equipment and facilities to render quality care to the patients we serve. Our staff maintains ACLS, ATLS, TNCC, and ER Board certification. We are members of the Regional Emergency Medical and Trauma Advisory Council (RETAC). Continuing as a Level IV Trauma facility ensures that we are best managing Trauma patients, have an active Performance Improvement process, provide injury prevention education to our community, and overall ensure that we are able to provide the best possible care to the people in our community.

As you heal, our swing bed means we can transition you to local care prior to returning home.
