Keefe Memorial Hospital recently received several generous donations and grants, allowing us to enhance patient care, expand services, and improve our growing facility.

1. Donation for Obstetrics Bed

An anonymous donor contributed $3,000 to help purchase a new obstetrics bed for use in our Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) program and for emergent deliveries.
Prairie View Health Resources (PVHR) matched the donation, bringing the total to $6,000.
The new bed arrived in October.

2. $30,000 Grant for Health Information Management Upgrades

This upgrade allowed our HIM department to digitize patient records, significantly reducing storage needs and increasing efficiency.
The freed-up space was repurposed into two much-needed office spaces, supporting our facility’s continued growth.

3. $30,000 Donation for Operating Room Remodel

PVHR also provided a $30,000 donation to remodel KMH’s former Operating Room.
While KMH no longer performs surgeries, this renovation allowed us to open a Gastrointestinal Specialty Clinic, where procedures are now performed in the OR space.

Notably, the entire remodel was completed in-house by our Facilities Team, saving thousands in labor costs.

These contributions strengthen our capacity to provide safe, modern, and accessible healthcare for our community — and we are deeply grateful to our donors and partners.
